Date: 2010-01-01 07:15 pm (UTC)Jesse is a song he recorded in English, though I think it's sort of... simplistic and more generic than his stuff in Hebrew (which is not surprising for a crossover attempt I suppose). Another cover he did, in English, is The Man I Love for the movie The Bubble, which is where the clips are from.
One of his recent hits in Israel was Nissim which I'm linking because that performance just OOZES sex, to me, although IDK if that comes across without the lyrics. It's a song about violence and war and getting addicted to that feeling power and fighting while also recoiling from it, and it's just so intense in that video.
Also, probably one of his most famous songs is "Bo", which is actually also a cover of a song originally sung by a female singer, but few people remember that now :) Link. It's in Hebrew, but there's a (very rough) translation of the lyircs. The clips are (badly edited lol) from the movie Yossi & Jagger, which is the movie he originally recorded the song for, about two soldiers having an affair in a northern outpost in Israel. The movie and the song became kind of... hugely iconic, around here.
